Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure a perfect compensation for each fluctuation by providing the closed loop which detects and controls both the gain and phase fluctuations of the 1H period delay circuit caused by the temperature characteristics.
CONSTITUTION: The 1H period delay circuit 5 gives 1H delay to the burst and carrier chrominance signals; sample holding circuit 19 gives the sample holding to the detection signals for the period when the burst signal is detected via phase detector 16 with the sample pulse of the 2H period; and sample holding circuit 20 gives the sample holding to the detection signals of phase detector 17 with the sample pulse of the 2H-period interval which differs from the sample pulse by 1H period. Then the detection voltage is compared between circuits 19 and 20, and the difference voltage is detected 17 and 16. With this difference voltage the gain of automatic gain control circuit 14 is controlled. Thus the closed loop is installed to detect and control through the color demodulation circuit both the gain and phase fluctuations of circuit 5 caused by the temperature characteristics. As a result, each fluctuation can be compensated perfectly.
