Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily produce data synchronous signals by detecting the data synchronous signals with the use of a tuning circuit, when PCM signals are to be demodulated, so as to detect the starting timing of the data after the deficient period.
CONSTITUTION: Under a normal operation, if data synchronous signals pd are deficient, equivalent synchronous pulses pd2 are interpolated so that the starting timing can be correctly detected. In case horizontal synchronous signals HD cannot be correctly separated due to the existence of the drop-out and noizes so that the pulses pd2 are not correct, an AND gate 50 is closed by the detected output of a synchronous pulse detecting circuit 49 so that the pulses pd2 are prohibited from being interpolated. If the synchronous pulses pd1 and the pulses pd2 become coincident in phase for a period of two fields after the prohibition of the interpolation, the pulses pd2 are interpolated again from the pulse detecting circuit 49 so that the detected output of 1 can be generated.
