Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the constituents and to improve the temperature measuring accuracy and stability by constructing an infrared thermometer of an oscillator, which continues the infrared ray emitted, means for driving the oscillator, and a detecting element for converting the continuous infrared ray into electric signals. CONSTITUTION:The temperature change due to the infrared ray having passed through such a convex lens 1 as condenses the infrared ray emitted from an article to be measured is converted into electric signals by means of a collection type ultrared detecting element 2, which is made of a crystal of lithium tantalate, so that the room temperature is measured by its measuring element 3 made of a diode. The signals from these elements 2 and 3 are converted by an electric signal processing circuit 4 into display signals, by which the measured temperature is displayed in a display unit 5. On the other hand, the infrared ray incident upon the element 2 is converted into periodic pulses by an oscillator which is prepared by adhering two PZTs of piezoelectric plates. Thus, the temperature measurement can be accomplished highly accurately and stably.
