Abstract

PURPOSE: To place a conductor constituting no one-turn closed circuit on the iron core leg in the vicinity of the much magnetic flux leaking end of the coil of a power transformer for suppressing the magnetic flux leakage in coil diameter direction with the counter-electromagnetic field generated by the eddy current flowing in said leg.
CONSTITUTION: An insulating tube 3 to be fitted in the iron core leg 1A of a transformer is made of a first tubular body 31 and a second tubular body 32 to be fitted on the outer circmferential surface of said first tubular body 31, and a low voltage coil 2 is provided round the outer circumferential surface of said insulating bube 3. A circumferential groove 31a is provided at the axial center of said first tubular body 31, and a conductor 8 is inserted therein to suppress magnetic flux leakage. Said conductor 8 is made of Cu and Al in circular ring form, a clearance 9 is provided without the butt-welding of the both ends thereof so that no one-turn closed circuit may be formed so as to surround said iron core leg 1A and filled with insulating material 10. Said conductor 8 is placed at the much magnetic flux leaking section extending between the vicinities of the upper end of unit division coils 2a and 2b and the upper end of coils 2c and 2d for increasing the effect thereof.
