Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise the degree of freedom of wave form selection, by making a single-phase bridge circuit of pulse-width inverters and combining the bridge circuit with a polyphase AC motor whose primary windings for all phases are separately insulated from one another.
CONSTITUTION: Single-phase bridge inverters INV-1, INV-2 for a first and a second phases are connected to a two-phase AC motor M2 having two pairs of separated primary windings which have a phase difference of 90°. An oscillator 3 generates a clock signal depending on a set signal supplied from a frequency setting unit 1. The clock signal os counted by the counter 41 of a calculator 4 to supply a binary signal as an address appointment signal to a memory 51 and the calculator. The content of the memory 51 is sequentially applied to a gate amplifier 61 through a latch 511 according as the clock pulses are counted. A turn-on signal is thus applied to the thyristors of the single-phase bridge inverter for the first phase.
