Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the delay element of desired characteristics, by inserting dielectric substance between the magnetic substance thin film multi-layer different in saturated magnetization and metal plate, applying DC magnetic field, and selecting the thickness of the dielectric substance suitably. CONSTITUTION:The dielectric substance thin film 2 is coated in suitable thickness on the metal plate 1, and on it, with continuous epitaxial growing, polyphase YIG (Yttrium-iron-garnet) different saturated magnetization, magnetic thin films 3, 4 are laminated, and further on it, the input and output antennas 5 and 6 are provided. When the input signal is fed to the antenna 5, the static magnetic wave induced on it is the Y direction (arrow 8) propagation front wave volume static magnetic wave and Y direction propagation reprogressive volume static magnetic wave in opposite direction to the DC magnetic field H0 toward the arrows 7 and 8, and when the DC magnetic field H0 is fed to the Z direction 9 orthogonal to the paper, the surface static magnetic wave is obtained, and the delayed static magnetic wave is picked up from the antenna 6. By selecting the thickness of the dielectric substance 2, the static magnetic delay element having desired delay time can be obtained.
