Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the stopping band attenuation quantity in a comparatively low magnetic field active region, by providing a pair of antennas for transmitter and receiver so that the garnet magnetic thin film may be interposed between these antennas and an earth conductor. CONSTITUTION:Antennas 2 and 3 for transmitter and receiver are opposite in parallel so that they may be brought into contact with the surface of garnet magnetic thin film 5 closely, and one ends and the other ends are connected to I/0 conductors 9 and 10 formed on the dielectric substrate and short-circuit ends 7 and 8 respectively, and the external magnetic field is applied vertically to the propagation direction and in parallel into the magnetic film face. The distance between antennas 2 and 3 is so set that leakage of the direct wave can be suppressed sufficiently, and generation of needless spurious, higher harmonic response, and so one is stopped. By this constitution, fluctuation of insertion loss dependent upon the frequency can be improved by approximately 15dB in comparison with the conventional constitution, so that the stopping band attenuation quantity in the comparatively low magnetic field active region can be increased.
