Abstract

PURPOSE:To make unnecessary the high speed clock for operation, by controlling the next sampling point in the specific timing for the signal represented in complex number. CONSTITUTION:The signal modulated in the two dimension modulation system is fed to the input terminals 1 and 2 by demodulating it into the signal of form represented in a complex number with the demoluation circuit. This is sampled at the sampler 3 and fed to the discriminator 4 with Viteribi algorithm VA, and the estimation value of the transmission data symbol of the input signal is outputted at the output terminals 13 and 14 by using VA from the discriminator 4. The operation circuit 17 inputs this output to perform convolution operation between the estimation value of symbol and the impulse response of the transmission line. The timing pick up circuit 16 inputs the output of the sampler 3 and that of the circuit 17 and controls the next sampling point of the sampler 3 in the timing of equation 1. As a result, the clocks for operation can be all symbol distance and no high speed clock is required.
