Abstract

PURPOSE:To make soft or hard slag in an optional quantity and grain size, by installing a soft and a hard slag making units in the face of each other and crushing the slag to the optional grain size. CONSTITUTION:Slag bulldozer working floors 3 are provided on both the sides of a hopper 2 installed in the center of a slag processing site 1. The oblique deck pouring type hard slag making unit 4 and a roadbed pouring type soft slag making unit 15 are installed on the working floors 3, respectively. When molten slag conveyed from a blast furnace by a slag feeder 8 is poured from a ladle car 6 onto an oblique deck 41, the slag is solidified as a thin layer. The hard slag of good quality is thus manufactured. The solidified slag is thrusted into the hopper 2 by a bulldozer, conveyed to a crusher 10 by a belt conveyor 9 and treated in a prescribed manner.
