Abstract

PURPOSE:To print a character within one character pitch clearly all over in a printer apparatus wherein only the printing portion does a shuttle movement, by making the width of plate springs smaller than the width of yorks. CONSTITUTION:A driving portion comprising a magnet 4 and a york 5 is fixed, and a printing portion comprising plate springs 1 and printing pins 2 is separated from the driving portion to permit only the printing portion to do a shuttle movement. The width ts of the plate spring 1 (the direction of the width being the same as that of the shuttle movement) is made smaller than the width t of the york 5 and minimized, so that the printing pin 2 can act all over the width of the york. Thus since the width of the plate spring 1 is smaller than the width of the york the magnetic flux from the york which acts on the plate spring during the shuttle movement is kept almost even to permit high quality printing.
