本発明はワイヤドツトプリンタ用印字ヘッドに関するも
のである。DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a print head for a wire dot printer.
従来のこの種の装置としては、漢字等の印字をするため
に細密ドツトマトリクス印字を可能とした24ビンヘツ
ド、18ビンヘツド等の多ビンワイヤドツト−\ラドが
あるが、これらのヘッドにおいて小型化するために、特
開昭56−11273や実公昭57−36437の如く
ワイヤ駆動装置を前段と後段の2段に配置する、2層構
造をとった細密ワイヤドツトヘッドが知られている。ま
た、このような細密ドツトマトリクスを構成するために
は、ワイヤ径の小さなワイヤを使用しなければならない
。ワイヤ径が小さくなると過大な印字エネルギーが加え
られた場合にはワイヤがインクリボンや印字用紙を突き
抜けてしまうということが起こるので、印字エネルギー
の許容範囲が狭くなっていた。ところで、上述のような
2段構造の印字ヘッドでは前段と後段のワイヤ長が異な
り、またワイヤ材質は前段、後段とも同じものを用いて
いたので、ワイヤも含めたワイヤ駆動装置の可動部の質
量は後段の方が大きくなってしまい、その結果、前段9
後段とも同じ駆動条件でワイヤを駆動した場合には、前
段と後段とで応答速度が異なりドツトのアライメントに
乱れが生じて印字品質が低下するという欠点を有してい
た。同じ応答速度で前段、後段とも応答するように前段
と後段の駆動条件を変えた場合は、ワイヤ駆動回路が複
雑になるとともに、後段ワイヤの印字エネルギーが前段
よりも大きくなってしまい、そのエネルギー差が適正印
字エネルギー許容範囲の中に入らなくなり、印字濃度に
前段と後段との間で差が生じて、印字品質が低下すると
