Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a roll group supporting device featuring an extreme facility in alignment at the time of roll installation and roll replacement, by supporting adjacent rolls with a ring plate in a mutually rotatable manner,and linking the ring plate of necessary part to a ring plate on the opposite side through a cast piece. CONSTITUTION:A roll group suporting device 10 is designed to carry out continuous cassting work by guiding a cast piece 16 in the direction of arrow by means of plural inside rolls 12 and outside rolls 14. Of the roll group 14, the rolls at both ends are supported on a support frame 20 by way of a bearing 18, and the rolls 14 are held with the rolls 14 adjoining in the direction of A by means of bearings in a mutually rotatable manner. Support protrusions 24 are projected between strip bases 18 from the frame 20 to abut against the back side of a plate 22 in a necessary part so as to hold the reaction at the time of casting. On the other hand, a roll group 12 is also constituted similarly as the roll group 14. Flanges 26, 28 are affixed to the plates 22 so as to link the plates 22 disposed between the bearings 18 and protrusions 24 to the plates 22 on the opposite side by means of cast pieces 16.
