Abstract
PURPOSE: To safety drive a vehicle such as a road cleaning truck along the edge of a road at the right and left, by providing a right and a left steering wheels in front of the driver's seat of the vehicle to steer the vehicle by either of the wheels.
CONSTITUTION: When a lever 22 is tilted leftward, a direction changeover valve 21 is located in a position (e) and pressure oil is supplied from a pump 24 to a left power steering gear 1. At that time, a servo control valve 2 is operated by the left steering wheel 3 to drive a power cylinder in accordance with the operated quantity of the valve 2 to steer wheels. In that case, a right steering gear 11 idles and follows up the left one 1. When the vehicle is steered by the right steering gear 11 the lever 22 is tilted rightward to shift the direction changeover valve 21 to a position (d) to actuate the right steering gear 11. In that case, the left steering unit 1 follows up the right one 11.
