Abstract

PURPOSE: Safe and rapid work process for very wide underground construction that enables simultaneous construction of structure and its protector.
CONSTITUTION: Plate type beams 1 are arranged in parallel. The end of the beam 1 is attached with a group of small cylindrical cutters 3 and the holding frame 4 to hold these cutters 3. The cutter 3 is made slidable in the holder frame 4 and the cutter edge 3 are arranged to protrude from the frame 4. The top of the cutter 3 are welded to each edge of friction cutter 2 which are arranged in the plate beam 1. The jack 6 is installed at the back of the cutters 3 and used to forwardly move a group of the cylindrical cutter 3 and friction cutter 2 group by group up to several meters in front of the frame 54.
