Abstract

PURPOSE: To carry out reliable soldering joint by fixing a commutator segment to its base by a hollow rivet with the flange part and letting electric connecting wire for a noise protector penetrate through the inner part of the hollow rivet.
CONSTITUTION: A plate commutator segment 2 fitted to a rotor 1 is composed of a commutator segment 8 on which a brush slides and its lower base 9. A hollow rivet 7 made of conductive material like copper and having a flange part 7a is inserted into the open part 11 of the base, calked and fixed. The connecting wire 6 with a noise protector 5 for condensers, etc. is inserted into the inner part 7b of the hollow revit 7 from the bottom and a winding 3 is fitted to and connected with a flange 7a by a solder 10. The form of the flange 7a remains similar to the calked form and cutting process is not needed. Therefore, simplified process and strong fitting can be obtained.
