Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform effective washing with a small quantity of water, by, in washing a number of small plated parts contained in a barrel, spraying pressurized water through a nozzle installed at a bearing mounted on one side of the barrel while the barrel being revolved.
CONSTITUTION: After completion of barrel plating operation, a barrel is supported by a hager 2 and is moved into a washing tank 4. The barrel 1 contains a number of small plated parts. The top end of a shower pipe 31 mounted along a side plate 21 of the barrel 1 is connected to an opening 32 for receiving water, the other end opens at the bearing 22 of an axis of rotation of the barrel 1. Pressurized water is sprayed in a shower through a nozzle 30 at the bearing by opening a solenoid valve 46 while the barrel 1 being revolved, simultaneously water is sprayed through a nozzle installed outsied above the barrel 1. The barrel 1 is washed from outside and inside at the same time, so that small plated parts, which roll in the barrel, and the barrel itself are washed effectively with a small quantity of water.
