Abstract
PURPOSE: To make efficient the regeneration of the reducing gas, to prevent the sintering of the reduced iron, and the smooth the operation, by directly supplying the electric power to the upper zone of the fluidized bed in order to heat the zone, at the fluidized bed type direct iron manufacturing furnace including the fluidized bed consisting of the reducing gas, the granular carbon, and the raw iron oxide powder.
CONSTITUTION: The raw iron oxide powder D like as the iron ore, etc., and the carbonaceous powder E like as cokes, etc., are charged from the upper hopper 2 into the reducing furnace 1. The preheated reducing gas C including CO, H2, etc., is blasted from the gas nozzle 3 installed at the furnace bottom. Besides, the inclined grid type gas distributer 5 provided with many gas holes 4 is installed closely to the furnace bottom. The reducing gas C, the raw iron oxide powder D and the carbonaceous powder E form the fluidized bed F. Plural units of electrodes 8 are arranged circumferentially at the upper zone of the fluidized bed F, and the electric power is supplied from electrodes 8 to the carbonaceous powder E in order to heat it. The temperature of the upper zone of the fluidized bed F rises up high; then, the reduction reaction for the iron oxide and the reduction reaction of produced CO2, H2O, into CO, H2, are promoted; as a result, the regeneration of the reducing gas is effectively proceeded. Furthermore, since only the upper zone of the fluidized bed F is kept at high temperatures, the generated reduced iron does not cause the mutual sintering phenomenon.
