Abstract

PURPOSE:To continuously irradiate articles with ultraviolet rays, while perfectly preventing leak of the rays, by setting light-shielding mechanisms at the inlet of a first light-shielding chamber and the outlet of a second light-shielding chamber which chambers are placed facing each other an irradiation chamber, between, divided with light-shielding mechanisms and by alternately opening or closing the mechanisms in accordance with conveyance of the articles. CONSTITUTION:When articles (a), (b), (c), (d)... are continuously supplied onto conveying mechanism 1 with every one frame, light-shielding mechanisms A, D are first opened at the same time to carry article (c) into first light-shielding chamber 5 as well as to carry cured article (a) out of second light-shielding chamber 6. Mechanisms A, D are then closed simultaneously to shift article (b) during curing in irradiation chamber 4 toward chamber 6. Next, light-shielding mechanisms B, C are opened at the same time to carry article (c) into chamber 4 as well as to carry cured article (b) into chamber 6, and mechanisms B, C are closed simultaneously. Mechanisms A, D are then opened at the same time to carry article (d) into chamber 5 as well as to carry article (b) out of chamber 6, and mechanisms A, D are closed at the same time. Article (c) during curing moves in chamber 4.
