Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain air fuel mixture gas having preferable air/fuel ratio in the entire operating zone for an LPG engine by determining the orifice diameter of a pressure control valve at an optimum size to thereby exactly operate the main valve.
CONSTITUTION: Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in a fuel tank 2 is eveporated at a vaporizor 3, and supplied through a main passage 10 and a slow passage 13 into a mixer 1. a main valve 9 is provided at the main passage 10 to operate by means of vacuum from a pressure control valve 6 for supplying predetermined vacuum upon reception of vacuum at the downstream side of a throttle valve at the mixer 1. The vacuum operates a main solenoid 7 at the output from a module 4 for processing a signal from an oxygen sensor 5 in the exhaust passage to thereby control the air amount introduced therefrom. In this case the diameter of the orifice 16 as the vacuum introducing passage at the downstream side of the throttle valve is so set in size as to vary inversely proportionally to the duty cycle of the solenoid 7 and a slow solenoid 8.
