PURPOSE: To provide a gas burner by which two-stage changeover burning is secured and simplified and the flame is stabilized, which comprises a combustion cylinder capable of holding always adjacent to a burner mouth a gas and air supplier and the flame, the gas and air supplier being capable of changing proportionally the feed rates of gas and air for burning.
CONSTITUTION: Feed rate of gas from a gas supplying pipe 2 is controlled by an electromagnetic valve 4 for low combustion and an electromagnetic valve 5 for high combustion. Feed rate of air which is supplied from an air supplying pipe 3 to a gas burner 1 is controlled such that an air stream from a blower 9 is controlled by a damper 10. A combustion cylinder is provided with blast holes having guide blades, and the air streams blown from the blast holes flow spirally along an inner surface of the combustion cylinder and surround a flame ejected from a burner mouth to prevent the flame from contacting directly with the combustion cylinder 19 and to supply necessary and sufficient secondary air to the flame.
