Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve reliability on the whole system by making a remote abnormality supervision and abnormality diagnosis possible by mutually transferring abnormality information between close computer subsystems for process control.
CONSTITUTION: Continuous process control computer subsystems (remote side) A and B and master computer subsystem M send and receive data to and from each other by double line 3 by way of repeater stations 2, 4 and 5. In case that an error happens to CPU6 of subsystem A, data transfer to CPU1 and SPU7 is disabled, but abnoamrlity detecting alarm unit 8 detects the error and transfers a signal, corresponding to the kind of the error, to process input-output unit PI/O11 of the other subsystem B via cable 12. Through data transmission line 3, CPU7 informs center CPU1 of the trouble of CPU6 and its details. When repeater station 4 runs into trouble, the information is input to subsystem B by way of PI/O10 and cable 13.
