CONSTITUTION:A plurality of projections 13, which extend in an axial directions, are provided on the inner surface of a molding jig 1 to hold commutator members 2. The molding jig is set in a molding machine comprising an upper and a lower cavities 35, 34 and an upper and a lower molding heads 36, 37. A molding material is injected into the machine. A spacer 39 can be placed on the lower head 37. To manufacture a molded commutator of small axial length, the spacer 39 is placed at the lower part of the molding machine. According to this constitution, molded commutators of different axial lengths can be manufactured by the identical molding jig 1 and the identical molding machine.
