Abstract

PURPOSE: To measure heat response time without error by an apparatus for measuring heat response time without necessity of manual labor by detecting the fact that a temperature-sensitive element is moved into atmosphere having different temperature, and detecting the variation in the temperature-sensitive element corresponding to the temperature to automatically set the timer.
CONSTITUTION: When a temperature-sensitive element 3 is moved out of a water tank 11, a second comparator 8 is at high voltage at its input, and a timer 9 and an indicator 10 are reset to initial value 0. When the element 3 is then introduced into the water tank 11, the comparator 8 becomes at the input low potential, the timer 9 starts counting, and when it becomes the switching temperature of a heat- sensitive thyristor in the element 3, a first comparator 7 becomes at its input low potential. Then, the timer 9 is stopped, and the indicator 10 indicates the heat response time from when the element 3 is introduced into the tank 11 to when the thyristor 14 is conducted, and stops.
