CONSTITUTION:In an outer tube 1 a luminous tube 2 is housed. At both ends of said luminous tube 2 main electrodes 3, 4 and an auxiliary electrode 5 are provided. While on both end outer faces of the luminous tube 2 heat insulating films 6, 6 are coated. One main electrode 3 of the luminous tube 2 is connected to one support 7 through a resistance ballast 17. Said resistance ballast 17 is constituted by a silicon carbide resistor 18a. In the outer tube 1 neon-argon mixture gas is sealed.
