Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the wear of heat transfer tubes immersed in a fluidized layer, by disposing all the parts of the heat transfer tubes in parallel with the flow of fluidizing gas.
CONSTITUTION: Heat transfer tubes 3, 4, which connect a steam/water drum 1 and a water drum 2 to each other, are immersed in fluidized layers 6, 7 partitioned from each other by a wall 5 and extend in parallel with the flow 37 of fluidizing gas. Other heat transfer tubes 19, 28 are immersed in other fluidized layers 18, 27 in an economizer 17 and an air preheater 26 respectively so that the tubes extend in parallel with the flow 37 of fluidizing gas. Since these heat tranfer tubes 3, 4, 19, 28 immersed in the fluidized layers 6, 7, 18, 27 are disposed in parallel with the fluidizing gas flow 37, the wear of the tubes are greatly reduced, their lifetime is lengthened and their maintenance is facilitated.
