Abstract

PURPOSE: To accomplish accurate temperature control with smooth flow of fluid by forming the heat exchanger tube in a spiral shape.
CONSTITUTION: A fluid 16 from a drum 15 flows to heat exchanger tubes 14a and 14b and is returned to the drum after passing through a particle layer 13 of a heating medium. In this manner, only steam generated by heating is extracted. Combustible material such as powdered coal is mixed in the particle layer 13 and is entirely burned with a gas fluid 18 fed from below the body of container 11 to maintain the layer at such a high temperature that a heat exchange is performed between the particle layer 13 and the fluid flowing through the heat exchanger tubes 14a and 14b. As the heat exchanger tubes are formed in a spiral shape and so arranged that the fluid flows vertically spiralling through the body of the container, there is a smooth flow of the fluid, thereby accomplishing accurate control of the fluid.
