Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the damage of a liquid heater for a boiler or the like by the overheating, by installing a sectioned water chamber between inner and outer wall plates in an inner shell equipped with enlarged smoke chambers at the upper and lower end of the smoke chamber, which serve as the passage of the convection of the liquid, and allowing the combustion gas to pass through the inside of the inner wall, inner shell, and the inner wall and through between the inner and an outside plate.
CONSTITUTION: Combustion gas blown up from a firebox 35 enters an upper enlarged smoke chamber 26 from a combustion gas upflow section 34 and heat is released in the chamber 26. Residual heat is released while the flows into the lower enlarged smoke chamber 27 through a combustion gas downflow section 36. Therefore, the temperature of the combustion gas drops considerably. The gas is dried by the radiant heat from the bottom plate 42 of the firebox and then exhausted. Since the firebox 35 is located above the lower enlarged smoke chamber 27, which is always in a low-temperature atmosphere there is no fear of overheating and damage due to the deposition of scale or the like. Water is heated by the heat exchange with the combustion gas so that natural convection is caused through a sectioned water chamber 30, a water chamber of the shell body 25, an upper and lower water chamber 28, 29. Even if calcium carbonate or the like dissolved in the feed water is deposited, it does not stick to the wall surface but accumulates in the lower enlarged smoke chamber 27 at low temperature. Accordingly, there is no fear of causing overheating.
