Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the detection sensitivity of a sensor which indirectly detects the heating condition of a heated material, by providing a means to control the open area ratio of an exhaust port having a detection means in a heater such as an oven to regulate the quantity of exhaust gas.
CONSTITUTION: An exhaust port 6 comprising numerous holes 7, 7 is provided in the ceiling plate 5 of an oven 1 so that the exhaust port extends cylindrically into the oven. The exhaust port 6 communicates with the exhaust port 9 of the body of the oven through an exhaust duct 8. A cylindrical rotor 10 is rotatably housed in the exhaust port 6 at the side of the exhaust duct 8. A plurality of radial slits 11 are provided in the bottom of the rotor 10, which is rotated by a motor 12. A sensor 13 is installed in the exhaust duct 8 so that the sensor comes into contact with intermittent exhaust gas conducted by the rotation of the rotor 10. When the exhaust gas is intermittently discharged by rotating the rotor 10 during the heating of food 3 by a heater 4, the gas is temporarily stored in the oven so that the gas concentration rises. This results in facilitating the detection of the gas by the sensor 13.
