Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to feed a wire automatically by a method wherein the wire is clamped and a work is retreated to an initial working position when the wire is disconnected or cut, subsequently, the wire is sent out through the work and a wire guiding device. CONSTITUTION:When a wire electrode 7 is disconnected or cut, the electrode 7 is clamped by rollers 13, 14 and a work 1 is retreated to an initial working position thereof by motors 18, 19. Subsequently, a guide hole of an upper wire guiding device 3 is opened by driving cylinders 5, 6. Under this condition, the rollers 13, 14 are rotated by driving a motor 15 and the wire electrode 7 is sent out to pass through the work 1 and the opened portion of the wire guiding device 3. Thereafter, a chuck 20 is lowered by driving a cylinder 21 and grasp the wire electrode 7 protruding above the upper wire guiding device 3, then, the wire electrode 7 is lifted up by driving the cylinder 21. Successively, the electrode 7 is forcibly fit and secured to a reel 9 and thus a refeeding of the electrode 7 is completed.
