Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent occurrence of slackening of a yarn and regulate the tension of the yarn by winding the strands of the yarn several turns on a dancer rod and rocking them in response to the tension of the yarn.
CONSTITUTION: When the strands 2 of a yarn are running, a dancer rod 6 is pulled upwardly by the tension of the running yarn as designated by an arrow A. When the strands 2 are stopped at the front side of a feeding port 4, they are warped from the feeding port 3 due to the inertia of the running yarn, but a dancer rod 6 is lowered in tension at the lower portion due to the slacked yarn to introduce the strands 2 as designated by a dash and dot line 2'. That is, the strands 2 designated by the dash and dot line 2' during stoppage is longer in length than the strands 2 designated by a solid line during running, the dancer rod 6 may absorb the warped excessive length of the strands in the amount of the differential length therebetween. The variation in the tension of the strands during running can be finely regulated in tension by the vertical motion of the dancer rod 6.
