Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of the whole of the system and reduce the number of A/D and D/A converters to lower the cost, by storing different kinds of subscriber's line in space division line concentrating stages of the same constitution. CONSTITUTION:Low-calling rate subscriber 1 and high-calling rate subscriber 1' are connected to space division line concentrating stage 3 through subscriber's line 2 and 2' respectively. In this space division line concentrating stage 3, subscriber's lines are concentrated into signal lines less than subscriber's lines at a fixed line concentration ratio, for example, 2:1 or 4:1. Next, respective signal lines are connected to subscriber's circuits (not shown in the figure) and A/D and D/A converters 4. Signal lines corresponding to low-calling rate subscriber's lines are connected to time division line concentration stage 5 and are connected to multiplexing part 6 after concentrated to less signal lines at a line concentration ratio, for example, 5:1. Signal lines corresponding to high-calling rate subscriber's lines are connected to multiplexing part 6 directly. Then, the multiplexed signal is stored in distributing stage 7.
