Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate an easy increment of channels by securing the mutual connection via several units of basic units which constitute the time-division channels. CONSTITUTION:One of outgoing lines 14 of basic unit A is connected to one of incoming lines 11 of basic unit B, and at the same time one of outgoing lines 14 of unit B is connected to incoming line 11 of unit A. As a result, the channel signal sent from line 11 of unit A receives the time-division exchange via channel replacing circuit TSS13 to be then sent to line 14 of unit A or line 11 of unit B. At unit B, the time-division exchange is carried out by TSS13 and in the same way as unit A, and the channel signal is delivered to line 14. In the same way, the channel signal supplied through line 11 of unit B is delivered selectively to line 14 of unit A or B. In such way, the channel can be increased in a simple way and with the mutual connection of at least of one set of the outgoing and incoming lines between the basic units.
