Abstract
PURPOSE: A remedial composition for cancer, capable of killing a cancer cell from the interior, by radio frequency heating, and comprising superfine particles which are heatable by electromagnetic induction and suspended in an aqueous solution.
CONSTITUTION: Particles of size 1μ or less, e.g. iron hydroxide or oxide, which are heatable by electromagnetic induction, are suspended in an aqueous solution, e.g. a solution of dextrose, dextran or a salt, to give a remedial composition for cancer by intravenous injection. A cancer cell investigation agent, e.g. radioisotope or specific antibody against canncer, and a chemotherapeutic agent, e.g. 5-Fu, Actionmycin D or Vincristine, may be incorporated in the particles. After injection into a patient, the particles are heated by applying an alternating electromagnetic field, and the temperature rise of a cancer cell is finely adjusted to 8.0W9.5°C. Only the cancer cell is selectively killed by heated particles taken in the cell.
