Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent vibrations of the engine from spreading to side of the automobile body by a method wherein a crossmember is made up of a main member and submembers when a transmission is to be supported by a crossmember on a floor panel. CONSTITUTION:When the transmission 3 installed in a floor tunnel 5 is supported by the crossmember 7 on the floor panel 4 through an insulator 6, the crossmember 7 is composed of a main crossmember 12 where both its ends are clamped through bolts and nuts 11 to the floor panel 4 beyond a floor tunnel part 5 and a subcrossmember 13 which equips the lower part of the transmission 3 through the insulator 6 and is supported elastically on the said member 12 through another insulator or rubber vibration insulator bushes 14. Therefore, on both sides of the member 12 are formed cylinder parts 15 which receive bushes 14 and on both ends of the member 13 are formed bolt-inserting holes 16, respectively.
