Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the resistance to wear and recording-reproducing characteristics of an obtained magnetic head by using a metal magnetic body only for the recording-reproducing track part of a tape sliding part and by employing the structure of a magnetic oxide body for the remainder. CONSTITUTION:This magnetic head, using magnetic oxide body 1 such as ferrite for its head core body, has magnetic metal body 2 such as sendust fitted to a part of recording-reproducing track width of a tape sliding part and at its circumference 3, a magnetic oxide body excellent in resistance to wear is left, so that the head abrasion can greatly be reduced as compared with that when only the magnetic metal body is used. Accordingly, since the thickness of magnetic metal body 2 can be lessened as much as improvement in abrasion, a loss of eddy current in the video band is reduced and recording-reproducing characteristics aie improved. Additionally, circumference part 3 made of the magnetic oxide body dose not exert any bad influence on recording-reproducing characteristics at all.
