Abstract

PURPOSE: To minimize the change-over temperature setting difference of the room cooling and heating mode and to prevent the generation of refrigerant sounds by a method wherein a temperature controlling unit and a timer is combined to stop the room cooling and heating change-over so much the time as an overshooting portion of the room cooling or heating operation stopping time.
CONSTITUTION: Contact points 26, 22 of relays are operated through control relays 24, 23 via the temperature control unit consisting of a thermistor 2, resisters 3W9, comparators 13, 14, AND circuits 15, 17, an OR circuit 19 to control a four way type valve change-over electro-magnetic valve 25 and an electromagnetic switch 21 for a compressor. Said unit is further provided with timers 16, 18, which have a reset terminal and after releasing reset start to count and after the lapse of reset time are able to change the output level, to stop the change-over of the room cooling and heating mode within the timer set time even outside the temperature set range. Consequently, after the compressor stop as well as the balanced pressure, the electromagnetic valve for four way valve switching is changed over so that no refrigerant sounds generate and there is no need of taking a large temperature setting range.
