Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain modified polyamide which is difficultly dyeable with acid dyes and depolymerized to less extent by allowing the polyamide to react with at least one among (a) an oxazolone compd., oxazinone compd., bisoxazolone compd., or bisoxazinone compd., or (b) a benzoxazinone compd., or bisbenzoxazinone compd.
CONSTITUTION: Preferred amt. of the compd. (I) or (IV) to be reacted with (A) is 0.1W10wt%. In the formula I, X is a bivalent organic residue (e.g. methylene, o-phenylene); Y is a univalent organic residue (e.g. 6W10C alkyl) or a residue expressed by (II) (wherein D is a bivalent org. residue; X is same as defined above; l is 0 or 1). The ring structure in (I) can be 5-membered or 6-membered. In the formula (IV), R is a univalent org. residue (e.g. 1W10C alkyl); Z is a bivalent org. residue or a residue oxpressed by the formula (V) (wherein A is a tetravalent aromatic residue; R is the same as defined above). Specific examples of the compds. are : 2-phenyl-5(4H)-oxazolone, 2-phenyl-3,1-benzoxazine-4-one, 2,2'-bis[5(4H)- oxazolone), 2,2'-bis(3,1-benzoxazine-4-one), 2-methyl-4H-3,1-benzoxazine-4-one, etc.
