Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a heat-insulating material with improved thermal resistance by a method wherein an inorganic granular substance is dispersed on the bottom part of a frame, then a forming material for a foamed body of urethane resin is injected in the frame, being foamed and hardened therein, and thus the inorganic granular substance is fixed in one body with the foamed body of urethane resin.
CONSTITUTION: The tip part of an inorganic granular substance 2 is inserted in plural concave parts 7 provided on the bottom part of a frame 1, while the basic-end part thereof is projected to the inside of the concave part 6 for forming. Next, a forming material 4 for a foamed body of polyurethane resin is injected in the concave part 6 and, after being covered with an upper lid 8, is foamed and hardened by heating. The side of basic end of the inorganic granular substance 2 is fixed solidly and firmly on to the surface of a foamed body 3 of urethane resin owing to the self- adhesive force of the foamed body 3, and thus, simultaneously with the foamed forming of the foamed body 3, the spray-finished layer of the inorganic granular substance 2 is formed on the surface of the foamed body 3. As the inorganic granular substance 2, the crushed materials of rocks containing silicate as the main component thereof, such as granite and quartz porphyry, as well as silica (quartz grains), metallic granular substance, including Fe and Al, and the like are employed.
