Abstract

PURPOSE:To lower the cost for film and obtain a packed article with good appearance after being finished by a method wherein a board-like packed article is covered with a shrinkable film, the lateral end surface thereof is sealed by welding the film directly on to the surface, and the film is shrunk by heating. CONSTITUTION:The upper and lower surfaces of plywood 2 which is piled and protected on the whole periphery by a polyethylene tape 3 are covered with a shrinkable film 4, the heat sealing is applied at the front and rear parts of the plywood 2, and the corner parts 4a protruding from the four corners of the plywood 2 are bent inside by the 1st heat rolls 5 and welded to the polyethylene tape 3. Furthermore, the lateral end parts 4b of the film 4 protruding toward both lateral sides of the plywood 2 are bent inside by film guides 6 and concurrently welded by the 2nd head rolls 7 to the polyethylene tape 3 to be sealed. Then, the shrinkable film 4 is shrunk wholly by heating and fitted fast to the plywood 2, thus a packed body 8 is completed.
