Abstract
PURPOSE: To uniformize the temperature of the rolled material over the entire length, by computing the discharging speed of the final stand required for securing the specified temperature of the tip of the rolled material on the discharging side of the final stand, by computing the speedup rate corresponding to the waiting time until another arbitrary one point enters into the first stand, and then, by controlling the rolling speed of each stand.
CONSTITUTION: The initial data input device 32 receives signals for various data like as the temperature 13 and thickness 15 of the sheet on the feeding side of the first stand 1, the aim temperature 14 and aim thickness 16 of the sheet on the discharging side of the final stand 7, and the cooling water rate 12 of each interstand spray 11; and the arithmetic control unit 31 computes the speed of the tip of the rolled material 20. Next, the temperature drop caused by the waiting time until another arbitrary one point enters into the first stand, and the required speedup rate, are computed, and a command is sent to the motor-controller 33 to control the rolling speed of each stand. When the rolling speed reaches the allowable maximum value, the cooling water rate is adjusted.
