Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure the assured decision in both the SECAM and PAL systems with no malfunction, by setting the killer threshold level of the SECAM color killer detection circuit of the reproducing time than that of the recording time. CONSTITUTION:Diode D2, resistance R2 and capacitor C3 each are provided to the SECAM color killer detection circuit. As a result, the DC voltage is applied to terminal 4 only at the reproducing time. Accordingly, diode D2 conducts at the reproducing time, and capacitor C3 is connected to the collector of transistor Q2 constituting the tuning-type amplifier. In this connection, the tuning frequency is shifted, and the collector output level of Q2 lowers down at the reproducing time. Thus the color killer threshold level of the reproducing time becomes higher than that of the recording time. As a result, the malfunction caused by reproduction of the PAL color signal can be eliminated without impairing the detecting capacity of the SECAM color signal.
