PURPOSE: To accomplish the detection of refrigerant conditions by utilizing the suction strainer mounted to the compressor body.
CONSTITUTION: Refrigerant is sucked from the end plate 5i and passes through the strainer 5 via the porous inner metal plate 5c, the filter paper 5a and the porous outer metal plate 5b. Both porous metal plates 5b and 5c form a capacitor. The change in the specific inductive capacity due to phase variations of the refrigerant therebetween is picked up as the change in the electrostatic capacity between the terminals 5g and 5f.
