Abstract

PURPOSE: To safely transport heat energy and make the work easy by transmitting the light of the infrared region produced by the combustion of fuel by light transmitting media.
CONSTITUTION: Fuel is burned by a combustion device 1 such as burner and the light of an infrared region is produced by the heating thereof in a heat-light converter 2 by way of zirconia or the like. This light is condensed by a condenser 3 such as condenser lens or concave mirror and is transmitted to a heat utilizing device 5 by an optical fiber 4. In the heat utilizing device 5, the light from the optical fiber 4 is branched to three optical fibers 7 by a distributor 6 and permeates through the ceramics vessel 9 which is transparent to the light of infrared region, whereby water 8 is heated or cooking is done. In the combustion device 1, catalytic combustion is caused and this permits saving of the heat-light converter 2. Since the heat is transported through the optical fibers, this method provides safety, smaller volume and easier work.
