Abstract
PURPOSE:To surely obtain a satisfactory delay of rust generation on a work, by such a constitution that even after a completion of machining the work into a prescribed shape, the level of machining liquid in a machining tank can be maintained not to lower below the top face of the work unless artificially applied a manipulation. CONSTITUTION:In a machining tank 1 capable of storing the machining liquid of water, a platform 19 is equipped and a work 18 is supported by said platform 19. An operational wire electrode is placed at a face-to-face position to the work 18 with a slight amount of clearance to apply a programmed machining feed to said electrode or work 18 while performing the repetition of pulse discharge in said clearance and enable an electric discharge machining operation by using the machining liquid of water. Thus the work is in such a state as to be not exposed in the air both during and after its machining unless applied an artificial manipulation, capable of delaying a rust generation.
