Abstract
PURPOSE: To efficiently clarify rainwater to provide potable water and industrial water by installing a means to guide rainwater into a reservoir and means to intake rain water to be clarified by surface earth and volcanic gravels in the reservoir.
CONSTITUTION: To construct a reservoir, surface earth suitable for growing plants is formed in layer on the surface of sand layer and gravel layer earth, fall preventing nets are laid in the boundary between the both earth layers, and a water-impermeable box-type structure is embedded under the nets. To construct a clarification apparatus, a means to guide rainwater into the reservoir and a means to intake rainwater clarified by the surface earth and the volcanic gravel in the reservoir. For example, rain is collected by drain pipes 9, 10, etc. in the surface earth 5, rainwater is freed from organic and inorganic material and is stored in the reservoir 1. The rainwater in the reservoir 1 is further clarified by microbes present in the volcanic gravels 3 and is utilized as potable water or industrial water.
