Abstract

PURPOSE: To make mal-odorous componets pollution-free through desorption, concentration and combustion by adsorbing these at the specific temperature by the use of natural zeolite then heating the same at the specific temperature.
CONSTITUTION: Natural zeolite having beforehand been treated with an aqueous HCl solution of about 1 to 2N is packed in an adsorption tower 7 and the exhaust gas containing mal-odorous components is introduced through inlet port 1. It is passed through the natural zeolite of the adsorption tower 7 at the temperature of about 50°C and the exhaust gas having been removed of at least 98% of the mal- odorous components is exhausted from exhaust port 5. At this time, the valves 6, 8 are held closed and 2, 4 held open. When the natural zeolite saturates, the introduction of the gas into the adsorption tower 7 is ceased and the valves 2, 4 are closed. Next, the valbes 6, 8 are opened to introduce the circulating heated gas of 300 to 500°C into the adsorption tower 7 in the reverse direction. While it passes the adsorption tower 3, it desorbs the mal-odorous components having been adsorbed and introduces the same into an oxidizing tower 10.
