Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide an efficient transmittance of a vibratory energy to a printing element and to obtain a clear printing quality at a high speed driving by a method wherein a printing force is applied to one of two vibratory plates which are vibrated at a specified cycle under an opposite phase. CONSTITUTION:As electric current is applied to a moving coil 24, the vibratory plates 21 and 22 are vibrated with a specified cycle uner an opposite phase. On the other hand, when the change-over signal is applied to an exciting coil 33, a rear arm 28b of a clutch lever 28 is magnetized to N-pole, repelled by a yoke 34 and changed over to the set position. Thereby, a clutch leaf spring 32 is moved in between an additional mass plate 23 fixed to the vibratory plate 21 and a printing pin 12, the vibration energy produced by the vibratory plate 21 is transmitted to the printing pin 12 via the spring 32. That is, a printing wire 4 pushes an ink ribbon 41 against a printing paper 40. Since a forming of the dot is related with a vibratory frequency of the vibratory plate 21, resulting in providing a high speed formation of the dot.
