Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the filter bed clogging between net-form plates by using the 1st contact aeration vessel which is disposed with the vertical type unit filter beds combined by alternately vertically shifting the net-form plates in such a manner that the net-form materials become perpendicular and the second aerating vessel which is disposed with the horizontal unit filter beds alternately laterally combined with the net-form plates.
CONSTITUTION: Waste water flows through an influent port 5 into the 1st contact aerating vessel 1, where it contacts a plurality of the unit filter beds 3 fixed perpendicularly with net-form plates 3a. Next, it flows through a transfer port 6 into the 2nd contact aerating vessel 1b, where it contacts a plurality of the unit filter beds 4 fixed horizontally with net-form plates 4a. At this time, the waste water is forcefully lifted by aeration lift pipes 11 and lift guide plates 14. Thence, the treating water having been purified to a high degree is transferred from en effluent port 7 into discharge port 8, from which it is released. With this method, the polluting materials flowing into the 2nd aerating vessel are less and the clogging of the filter beds does not occur.
