Abstract
PURPOSE: To minimize treatment facility and reduce construction cost in a wastewater treatment equipment of fluid bed type microorganism's membrane method which makes bacterial purifying treatment of polluted water by circulating a granular filter media having a microorganism's membrane, by performing organism reacting function and separating function in one tank.
CONSTITUTION: Hollow spherical tank 2 is installed in inverted-egg-shaped outer tank 1 so that the vertical axis of tank 2 will be concentric to that of tank 1, and the space between both tanks is used as the sludge separating section and the central part is used as the microorganism reacting section. The polluted raw water is introduced from leading pipe 6 and brought up through gas- liquied ascending pipe 3 together with granular filter media and floating sludge by the ascending force of distributed air bubbles, and then becomes mixed liuqid of three phases, gas, liquid, and solid, of active sludge, microorganism's membrane, etc., by means of agitating mechanism 5. The mixed liquid strikes against the lower surface of guide plate 8 and then becomes a descending flow. Within this descending flow section, a reacting part which is rich in oxygen shifting amount is constituted, and the flow ascends slowly along the outer surface of reacting tank 2. The sludge is settled at settling pipe 13 and the cleanly treated water passes below scum flow preventing plate 11, overflows from overflow wall 12, and then is taken out from discharge pipe 17 through reacting tank 2.
