Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a lead terminal of the thermocouple with a better workability free from error in the temperature measurement in the vacuum container by providing a plurality of sheathed thermocouples running through the flange.
CONSTITUTION: The tips 4a of the thermocouple wires 4 are mounted on the construction in the vacuum vessel and then, connected to the thermocouple wires 4' of the sheathed thermocouples 9 running through the sleeve 11 fixed on the flange 3. This permits the tips 4a to be mounted on the construction accurately in an easy work free from the flange. The wires are so takne outside the vacuum vessel as to allow the temperature compensating points to be arranged outside thereby reducing errors in the measurement. The use of the sleeve 11 for the portion of the flange 3 where thermocouple 9... penetrate through enables easy vacuum sealing with a high reliability.
